On this full-day beginners’ workshop you will discover the magic of silver clay as you learn how to create your own fine silver jewellery.

You’ll be guided through a range of techniques to help you produce two to three finished pieces, depending on their size. Throughout the day, you’ll learn how to:

• Handle, shape, cut, and texture the clay

• Store and rehydrate your clay for future use

• Add a sparkling gemstone to your design

• Refine your pieces before firing

• Fire your jewellery using different methods

• Polish and finish your fine silver creations

No previous experience with metal clay or jewellery making is required — just bring your curiosity and creativity!

The class runs from 10:00am to 5:00pm, with a short break for lunch — please bring your own. Tea and coffee will be provided.

All materials are provided to create 2–3 pieces, including silver clay, a gemstone, and a jump ring. Additional materials such as extra clay, gemstones, or findings will be available to purchase on the day.

By the end of the workshop, you’ll have the skills and confidence to continue creating your own silver jewellery at home.
