working with Beads

This workshop covers making beads using silver clay with instruction on various techniques. It is aimed at students with previous knowledge of working with silver clay. You will be shown how to make your beads, embellish and fire them with enough Silver Clay to make three different types of beads and all the other necessary materials will be supplied. If you have a texture or tools you would like to use please bring them along but this is not a requirement for the workshop.


Beads you can make in this workshop include:

  • Lentil beads

  • Triangle wrap beads (croissant beads)

  • Hollow beads using syringe and cork clay or another suitable base.

The class runs from 9.30am to 5.00pm with a break for lunch. There will be refreshments and cake available but please remember to bring a lunch with you.
